I have jumped my foster mom’s fence occasionally when there was a squirrel or cat on the other side that I found interesting. Even though that was fun for me, it wasn’t fun for my foster mom! A six-foot fence would probably be ideal.

Hi there! My name is Banjo and I am a curious, rambunctious, and happy-go-lucky kind of guy! I LOVE my foster sisters! If I could just play with them all day long, I would be the happiest puppy! Sometimes foster mom says I need work on minding my manners, but I'm getting there. I just get so excited, I forget that they don't like me jumping on them. The cats in the house are fine with me, but they do tend to keep a distance when I'm out and about (what the heck, right?) I've learned in just my short time at foster camp that they really don't like being chased, and foster mom says I'm getting much better at giving them space. If they bolt, I may alert and try to run, but one word from foster mom and I stop. In time, all the kitties will love me, I just know it!

Do you like children?

Small humans? I love them! I think I would be better in a home with older children (10+) though because I am going to be a big boy. I’m already as tall as both of my two year old, 65 lb foster sisters. Also, sometimes when I'm really excited, my mouth goes all crazy and I like to nibble on fingers. I'm not trying to hurt you, promise! I just think fingers are fun little pacifiers. All you have to do is redirect me towards a bone and we're good to go. I am still learning.

Do you like people?

Of course! I am a good boy! In my short time at foster camp, my foster parents have taught me how to behave in my room (crate), which is where I stay when they aren't home and where I sleep at night. At the moment, I can be in there for five to six hours at a time, but a dude has to use the grass every once in a while, right? I'm very good about not chewing on human stuff, but I may run around with a sock like it's my wubby. I'm learning! Party time is my favorite time, but I really enjoy cuddling on the couch after a long day of play too. As a puppy, I tend to be "on" more often than "off," but that just comes with the puppy territory! I will probably always be a higher energy dog, but with time and structure, I will learn how and when to let my energy out. I've already started learning!

Oh boy, here's my favorite section! I love basically everything. No really, I haven't met a toy/dog/person/imaginary friend/alien that I didn't like. But, if I had to choose some favorites, I would go with Flirt Poles (those really tire me out), antlers (I can chew for hours), Kongs, and anything that squeaks or makes noise.

What’s your ideal home like?

My ideal forever home would be with humans who love to stay active. I would make a great running partner! I need my exercise to stay sane. I would absolutely love to have a brother/sister, preferably someone larger in size who loves to play as much as I do. I would be fine as an only dog, too. I am probably best for a home with experience in high energy pups like myself, and parents who are willing to feed me high quality, grain-free food. The other stuff made some of my fur fall out on my back, and now foster sister keeps calling me Mount Baldy (mean, right?).
